Pulp Kitchen

This is not the place for silver service. Not even tablecloths, in fact. It is quite a casual spot among the Ainslie shops, and is one of Canberra’s best dining experiences. The food has great flair, lots of intense flavours, and is some of the most interesting European-inspired cuisine you’ll find. The menu includes the likes of deep-coloured seared calf liver served on onions and thin-sliced spuds, an intense seafood bisque topped with a whole soft-shell crab, and Toulouse sausages with mash and fennel confit. For dessert you’ll find some fantastically experimental ice-creams like licorice (a love-it or hate-it option) or pistachio and vodka. This is the neighbourhood eatery we’d all love to have.
