From the 1960s to the 1980s, a space-tracking station operated at Honeysuckle Creek; today, it’s the site of a well-developed campground that comfortably accommodates small and large groups. It’s 16 km south-west of the visitor centre via Honeysuckle Rd from Naas Rd. Bring your own firewood, although a gas/fuel stove is preferred.

This campsite is located in Namadgi National Park

Rolling grassy hills unfold towards the horizon, hardy snow gums create woodlands on the subalpine slopes and higher still are alpine meadows with fragile wildflowers in season. Namadgi National Park is only 32 km from Canberra, but a world away from city life. It covers almost half of the ACT.
