This National Trust house has been painstakingly restored, preserving its rustic charm. A separate kitchen building contains an old dairy and maids room, but guests will enjoy the old-world sitting room with its extensive library. There are four suites, including the Grosvenor Room with its wrought-iron bed, antique Chinese chest and ensuite featuring a heritage bath tub. It’s these sorts of details, in addition to the warm, friendly service, that make this B&B so popular. Gardens, a terrace, verandah and two pet doves complete the tranquil ambience.
