Located on the southern outskirts of town, the Hilltops Retreat Motor Inn has a newly renovated dining room with all the features of a swish inner-city bistro, and a menu to match. Nibble on homemade dips served with Turkish bread, then try an entrée of twice-baked pork belly before moving on to the jewel in the crown: 150-day-old grainfed steak with potato röesti, red onion jam, blistered asparagus and bordelaise sauce. And for dessert, the chocolate spring roll is ‘to die for’. Bookings are recommended.
