There are 2 campsites included in Turon Crossing Reserve: 7.3 km and 8.2 km south of Hill End. There’s a concrete causeway crossing of Turon River 8 km south of Hill end that may be impassable after rain, even for a 4WD, so check conditions before setting out. Two-wheel drive and off-road caravans can travel this route in dry weather only, and they’re not permitted between Black Gate Reserve and Johnsons Hole along Monaghans Bluff. Bring your drinking water, firewood, a gas/fuel stove and a spare tyre.
