Let the children run free in this spacious, grassy camping ground. Turn-off 4km north of Tomingley. The camping area is 18km east of the Newell Hwy. This is the best section of the park to visit if you are towing a caravan with a 2WD vehicle; even so, it’s only suitable in dry weather. You’ll need to bring your own drinking water and firewood.

This campsite is located in Goobang National Park

A range of plant and animal life is preserved in Goobang National Park, along with picnic sites, views from Caloma Trig, bushwalking trails and bush-camping opportunities. You can also ride a horse through the park, as long as you have a permit. Roads are open to conventional vehicles, though heavy rain can make them boggy. The park is 30 km from Parkes, off the Newell Hwy.
