The Diggings camping area
Where once the diggers panned for gold, now the campers fish for trout, swim or head out on a bushwalk. There are 20 sites here, with 4WD access only via Lochaber Creek Fire Trail, 9 km west of Capertee. Bring your own drinking water and firewood.

This campsite is located in Turon National Park
Aboriginal and European history abounds in this national park, 5 km south-west of Capertee. The Turon River has its source here, the site of a major goldrush in the 1850s. Travel to and within the park is by 4WD or mountain bike.
