Warrumbungle National Park

Eastern grey kangaroos, red-necked wallabies, euros and emus are regularly seen around the Warrumbungle Visitor Centre. Koalas perch in the eucalypts, especially along Wambelong, Spirey and West Spirey creeks, and the birdlife reflects an interesting mix of species. From the west are budgerigars and Australian ringnecks; from the east, lorikeets and rosellas. Camp Blackman is a good spot for birdwatching, especially for honeyeaters when the ironbarks are flowering.
