On the southern edge of Windamere Dam, Cudgegong Waters Park has all the activities and facilities a water-loving outdoor enthusiast could ask for. Fishing is a particular drawcard, with golden and silver perch, Murray cod and catfish on the menu. There are cabins and on-site caravans as well as campsites, and a kiosk sells bait, ice, petrol and groceries. The dam can be accessed via the Illford–Mudgee Rd, 35 km south-east of Mudgee.
