To reach this small campground nestled in the rainforest at Smoky Cape, turn onto Arakoon Rd from South West Rocks Rd and head for Smoky Cape Lighthouse. Bring your own firewood and drinking water. There are plenty of walks to do around the cape, including one to the lighthouse itself, which delivers gobsmacking coastal views. In addition to camping, Smoky Cape Lighthouse has been transformed into a B&B, and self-catered accommodation is available at 2 assistant lighthouse keepers’ cottages.
