One of the bigger boat-based camping areas in Myall Lakes National Park, Johnsons Beach camping area enjoys an embarrassment of riches - inviting sandy beaches and shallow, aquamarine waters. There are a number of walking tracks to explore, including the Johnsons Hill Track, which delivers you to a lookout with panoramic views of the Myall Lakes. Access is by boat or foot only. Moor at the boat ramp nearby at Violet Hill. Walkers access the camping area via the Old Gibber fire trail (from Mungo Brush Rd, 4 km). Bring firewood and drinking water.
