The spacious, grassy clearing here is ideal for families or groups. It’s in the Allyn River section, at the southern limits of the forest, on Allyn River Rd. The best way to get onto this road is via Salisbury Gap Rd, which heads west from Salisbury, 31 km north-west of Dungog. Bring your own drinking water, or boil/treat water from the creek.
