The park is 14 km from Scone or easily accessible from Aberdeen. The powered sites do not front the lake but there are unpowered sites available with lake frontage. This is a popular fishing spot where anglers catch bass, yellow-belly, silver perch and rainbow trout. Murray cod are also reputedly landed.
