On a practical level, 1133 ha Lake Liddell supplies cooling water to 2 nearby power stations; on a recreational level, it’s a haven for watersports, birding, canoeing, boating, walking and fishing. It’s approximately 15 km south of Muswellbrook. To get here, turn off the New England Hwy onto Hebden Rd and follow the signs.
