Roll out your swag at this camping area and enjoy a smorgasbord of things to do, including bushwalking around Mt Yengo, horseriding, mountain-biking, 4WD touring, birdwatching and wildlife-spotting. Alternative accommodation includes sprawling Big Yango Homestead, which sleeps 9 people (with another 5 beds in an adjacent cottage) and supplies 240V power, hot showers, a wood fireplace and cooking equipment. The homestead is in the Big Yango Precinct, so you’ll need to contact the parks office to get access through the locked gate; 2 weeks’ advance booking and payment required. Note: 4WD access only.

Part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, Yengo National Park is a rich tapestry of rugged natural beauty, and Indigenous and European heritage. There’s no shortage of ways to savour it, from 4WD touring to bushwalking, mountain-biking and horseriding (in the southern part of the park).
