Bellbird camping area
Campsite
Located on unsealed Coombadjha Rd off the Gwydir Hwy, Bellbird has drinking water, toilets, picnic tables and wood barbecues (bring your own firewood), and private camping areas cordoned off from one another by vegetation. Relax and have a cuppa while you’re serenaded by the sights and sounds of the rainforest. You can walk to the Coachwood picnic area from here (200 m). The Coachwood walk-in camping area is in a lovely clearing next to the creek, over a footbridge from the main camp. Both of these areas are good for spotting lyrebirds.
