Cafe Telegraph is located in the old telegraph office (c. 1870). It’s an excellent cafe in the heart of town, offering an array of gourmet interpretations of old cafe favourites. Here, the humble toasted cheese and ham sandwich is transformed into something amazing with the addition of homemade mustard. The best spot to dine is undoubtedly in the courtyard alongside the creek, and with the Murrunrundi Cellars on-site, all you have to do is wander across and select a bottle of wine to accompany your meal. The Cellars’ great range of wines feature fine drops from the Hunter Valley. The cafe’s homemade cakes are pretty wonderful too.
