Campsite

The view of Apsley River at Budds Mare is one of the highlights of the national park; to get here, follow Moona Plains Rd off the Oxley Hwy. There’s a difficult 7 km walking track from the picnic shelter to the Riverside visitor area – it’s very steep in places, and you’ll need to either camp at Riverside, organise a pickup (4WD access only, permit required), or prepare for a strenuous 6 hr, 14 km return walk. Bring your own drinking water to the camping ground; firewood is supplied.
