This is a relatively informal camping area with picnic tables and wood BBQs. There’s a short walk to a nearby dam, where you’ll have a chance to spot some of the 240 bird species found in the area. This is dry-weather access only along No. 1 Break Rd, Rocky Rd and Country Line Rd. Bring drinking water.

This campsite is located in Timallallie National Park

Embedded within the 500 000 ha Pilliga Forest – the largest tract of native forest west of the Great Divide – is Timallallie National Park, accessed via No. 1 Break Rd off the Newell Hwy north of Coonabarabran. In an area rich with natural beauty – in particular, birdlife – Timallallie is one of the few places with visitor facilities.
