Batlow

Batlow, Jann Tuxford / Tourism New South Wales

Population 997

In the 19th-century gold rush prospectors converged on nearby Reedy Creek, which sparked a sudden demand for fresh produce. The resulting orchards and farms became the town of Batlow. Set in the low-lying mountains of the state's south-west slopes, Batlow is a picturesque town still surrounded by orchards of delicious apples, pears, berries, cherries and stone fruit.
