Long Plain Hut camping area (northern section)
Campsite
There are horse yards here, to the east of Long Plain Hut, and there’s another designated camping area to the north of the hut as well. It’s a great spot for the active camper, with horseriding, mountain-biking, fishing and walking to choose from. Long Plain Hut is a nicely restored hut on a hillside overlooking Long Plain. Access is via Long Plain Rd, approximately 3 km north-east of the Snowy Mountains Hwy. Note that Long Plain Rd is closed during the colder months, so check with the parks office before setting out. Bring your own drinking water and firewood.
