Trout fishing, swimming and relative solitude are the drawcards of Ravine camping area, which was once the site of a village supported by large-scale copper mining in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Access from the north is via Ravine Rd, which is fine for 2WD as far as the intersection with Blue Creek Trail. From there, Lobbs Hole Ravine Rd is 4WD access only. From the south, Lobbs Hole Ravine Rd is only suitable for 2WD as far as Wallaces Creek Lookout. Pack your snow chains in winter, and bring drinking water and firewood.
