Three Mile Dam, 14 km north-east of Cabramurra, was built in 1883 to service gold mining in the Kiandra region. Come in early to mid-summer and you’ll catch a kaleidoscopic display of wildflowers; in winter, the place is covered in snow and closed to vehicles. Access is via Kiandra–Cabramurra (Link) Rd. Bring your own drinking water and firewood.
