This is the perfect place to stay if you’re interested in visiting the startlingly beautiful Yarrangobilly Caves. You can also see Cotterrill’s Cottage, which dates back to the 1890s, making it one of the oldest buildings in the national park. To get here, follow the Snowy Mountains Hwy, 62 km south of Tumut. You can drink river water as long as you boil/treat it first; bring your own firewood.
