Platypus Reserve

Eighty kilometres inland from the south coast, the Platypus Reserve at Bombala has one of the biggest populations of platypus in New South Wales. They can be seen in their natural environment from a viewing platform at Platypus Reserve. These creatures are notoriously shy, but here they frolic and forage around rocks on the river floor. They are most active at dawn or dusk.
