The Gunyah Restaurant

Nestled high in the treetops above Jervis Bay, The Gunyah stays true to its Aboriginal name (meaning ‘meeting place’). The menu is modern Australian and, while it does display European sophistication and influences, makes the most of what this stunning region has to offer. For dinner, there might be pink roasted pepper berry spiced kangaroo loin with pancetta, carrot purée and spring vegetables; or homemade tagliatelle with sautéed mushrooms, leek, parsley and parmesan. This magical dining experience is located in the heart of the chic and eco-friendly Paperbark Camp, a collection of up-market safari-style tents scattered among the paperbark trees. Bookings are essential.
