Wilderness Coast Walk
Hiking and walking
Be prepared for severe weather conditions on the 100-kilometre Wilderness Coast Walk through Croajingolong National Park and Nadgee Nature Reserve, across the New South Wales state border. It covers some of the most rugged and untouched coastal scenery – bush-covered promontories, swollen river inlets and fine sandy beaches with jagged, textured rock formations. Walkers must negotiate several river crossings and need to charter a boat to get across Mallacoota Inlet. Thus, many walkers prefer to complete smaller sections, such as Wingan Inlet to Mallacoota.
