Paperbark Camp is located on the shores of Jervis Bay, 4 kilometres from Huskisson. The 12 safari-style canvas tents are elevated on individual timber platforms, hidden among spiralling eucalypts and paperbark trees. This is no ordinary camping experience, particularly if you indulge in one of the two deluxe tents. Tucked away from the main camp, their opulent furnishings include a free-standing bath with incredible views and a large secluded verandah. At the heart of the camp is The Gunyah (an Aboriginal word for ‘meeting place’ or ‘place of shelter’), a sophisticated dining area serving meals among the treetops – it is built high off the ground to invite the sea breeze. This camp offers a truly magnificent experience in the Australian bush.
