Mittagong This small and appealing town has interesting historic cemeteries and buildings. Lake Alexandra in Queen St is artificial and an excellent spot for birdwatching and walking. There is a market at the Uniting Church hall on the 3rd Sat each month. 8 km NE.

Only low-impact activities are encouraged and there is a 3 km exclusion zone around Lake Burragorang; via Hilltop; 19 km N.
