Fitzroy Falls – Morton National Park

At Fitzroy Falls, water plummets 80 metres over a sandstone plateau and then another 4o metres into the valley below, negotiating a course through a fringe of thick green forest. The visitor centre for the national park is located near the Fitzroy Falls, and short walking trails lead from the visitor centre to several different views from the escarpment. Little-visited Belmore Falls are nearby and almost as impressive, dropping a total of 100 metres and splitting off into two rockpools.
