Coast Track - Royal National Park
Hiking and walking
The 26‑kilometre Coast Track snakes along the coast from Otford to Bundeena. Walkers starting out early could complete it in a day, but two days allows for stops at some of the secluded beaches en route. There are 11 in total, and Garie, South Era and Burning Palms are patrolled. While these points along the coast are accessible by road and attract day visitors, other sections are completely isolated by the precipitous sandstone cliffs. The section near Palm Jungle reveals a lush patch of subtropical rainforest with cabbage palms, fig trees and ferns.
