While the caves are certainly the main drawcard, other activities in the reserve include swimming in the Wombeyan Gorge, hiking, canyoning and birdwatching. The extensive and well-equipped campground is along Wombeyan Creek near the visitor centre. You’ll need to bring your own firewood, but pretty much everything else is taken care of. Book ahead for powered sites. Note: alternative accommodation is available in the form of cabins, dormitories and a cottage.
