Blowhole and the Rocks This area is sacred to the Ulupna and Bangaragn people. The Rocks change colour according to weather conditions, and the Blowhole is a 25 m deep hole that legend says was home to a giant Murray cod that ate young children who fell into it. One young boy escaped the cod and was chased into the crevice, only to emerge in the Murray, suggesting that the Blowhole and the river are linked. Strangely, water has been known to flow from the Blowhole in times of drought. Adjacent to it is a working granite quarry.
