Sandbar and Restaurant

Chef Nicolas Gomez Duran may describe Sandbar and Restaurant as ‘a glorified shack’, but it wows diners with its modern interior and excellent European cuisine. Duran’s Spanish heritage is evident in the small tapas menu, featuring delicious arancini balls and beer-battered jalapeños. The restaurant’s dinner menu includes more eclectic dishes, such as a caramelised sirloin of Bangalow sweet pork with grilled prawns and salsa verde. For a real taste of Spain, Sunday lunch is accompanied by flamenco and Latin guitar-playing. The views overlooking Shaw’s Bay make this an ideal spot for a long lunch or summertime dinner.
