Deep within Litchfield National Park, 4 kilometres from picturesque Wangi Falls, this is a terrific place to stop after a day’s ‘waterfall crawl’. There are all kinds of burgers to satisfy the most ravenous appetites, and for dessert try Litchfield’s famous homemade mango cheesecake. The ambience at Litchfield Cafe is delightful – wide green lawns, shady trees and spacious verandahs. Walk down to the passing creek but don’t plunge in – they have a couple of large freshwater crocodiles in residence.
