A stone’s throw from the harbour, looking over The Esplanade, order a gin and tonic, sit back as the sun dips into the golden waters of Darwin Harbour and go back in time. The restaurant encompasses Admiralty House, a heritage building that reaches back to an era of comfortable, colonial living in the tropics. Not only is this one of the finest examples of 1930s architecture in the Northern Territory, the restaurant has won awards for its steaks, deemed the best in Darwin. Outdoor dining is shaded by trees as old as Darwin itself, while indoors is comfortably air-conditioned.
