Charles Darwin National Park
Back to nature
In this wetland you can find 36 different mangrove species, shell middens left by Aboriginal people over thousands of years, and bunkers and storage facilities from World War II. There are toilets, barbecues, bushwalking tracks, a bike path and a lookout. Biting insects can be a problem so wear protective clothing and apply insect repellent, especially around sunrise and sunset.
