Dunmarra Wayside Inn camping area
Campsite
It’s a bit of a wildlife experience when you stay at Dunmarra Wayside Inn, conveniently situated halfway between Katherine and Tennant Creek. Found on the Stuart Hwy, 8 km south of the Buchanan Hwy intersection, the roadhouse has a reptile enclosure with snakes and lizards, water buffalo out the back, and the lagoon across the road can have up to 50 species of bird. The roadhouse has fuel, a swimming pool, bar and some reasonable murals. Firewood is supplied occasionally and there are 32 powered sites as well as a large unpowered camping area.
