Lorella Springs Wilderness Camping and Caravan Park, Lyndon Sparrow

It’s a bit of a trek but Lorella Springs is worth the drive. It’s an oasis in the middle of outback Australia between Roper Bar and Borroloola, 29 km down a gravel road off the Savannah Way. The property is family run, over 400 000 ha of wilderness with camping either at the Homestead or bush-style down at the Rosie River. Apart from the wonderful hospitality, the camping area is right next to Lorella thermal spring. Choose to laze around in the warm waters or explore the local gorges and 4WD tracks. Lorella Springs is also a good stopover on the way to the Lost City at Limmen River National Park.
