Centrally positioned near the ranger station, walking tracks, canoe hire and the cruise boat, this privately run campsite has pretty much everything you need, including a pool, and is the main campsite in the park. Generators are not permitted, and although wood is sometimes supplied you will need to bring your own timber from outside the park if a campfire is essential. The campground has 40 powered sites.

A rewarding way to see the Nitmiluk Gorge is to hire a kayak. You can go at your own pace, and get to the sections of the gorge where the tour boats are not allowed, especially if you elect to go out overnight. Book ahead in peak season, as canoe numbers are limited.
