Cape Don Lighthouse

Situated on the north-west tip of Cobourg Peninsula, this lighthouse is on the foreshore of an absolutely stunning marine park. Accommodation is in the renovated lighthouse keeper’s residence, with rustic and spacious rooms and a 1930s tropical living area. While Cape Don is known for its fishing experiences, guides are available for sightseeing in nearby estuaries and coastline. There are walking trails and the history of the lighthouse itself is very interesting. Be sure not to be caught outdoors at dusk as the sandflies are deadly. Access is by aircraft from Darwin.
