Ross River Resort

Located 85 kilometres east of Alice Springs, this resort is centred around the original Loves Creek homestead built in 1898, and is an ideal base for exploring the East MacDonnell Ranges. There are camping areas, a bunkhouse and stand-alone cabins, but no TV or mobile phone coverage to interrupt the experience. The homestead has a licensed restaurant and the Stockman’s Bar is popular. There are bushwalking trails and sunset camel tours, and hot-air ballooning can be organised.
