Barrow Creek Hotel
On the Stuart Hwy, about 290 km north of Alice Springs, this historic building was the earliest hotel constructed along the north–south road between Alice Springs and Tennant Creek. Its original features include the cellar, pressed-tin ceilings, and most of the windows and doors. Grab a key and inspect the old telegraph station next door, or go for a hike up to the lookout to see the sunset. Bring your own drinking water and firewood if you are staying here.
