Slap-bang on the Stuart Hwy, about 290 km north of Alice Springs, this historic building was the earliest hotel constructed along the north-south road between Alice Springs and Tennant Creek. Its original features include the cellar, pressed-tin ceilings, and most of the windows and doors. Grab a key and inspect the old telegraph station next door, or go for a hike up to the lookout to see the sunset. Bring in your own drinking water and firewood if you are staying here.
