Alice Springs School of the Air
Teachers here provide lessons for children scattered over 1 million square kilometres of remote Central Australia. When the service began in 1951, it made use of the Royal Flying Doctor Service pedal radios. Now, of course, the internet has made communication much easier. On weekdays you might see real classes in action – and maybe even get the opportunity to participate. At other times, you can watch videos of lessons.
