Docker River Community camping area
Campsite
Camp almost on the WA border in a grove of shady desert oaks with views of sand dunes and the stunning Petermann Ranges. You’ll need to be well prepared and travel with a permit from the Central Land Council to be on the Tjukaruru Rd. The road is unsealed and probably not suitable for caravans, with at least 180 km of rough, sandy road. The campsite, which is signposted 1 km west of Docker River community, is being managed by the community, who are putting in picnic tables and trying to patrol it regularly.
