From the Ross River Homestead there is 11 km of 4WD track to the gorge, and the track becomes impassable after heavy rain. The small campsite is near the park entrance. Generators are not permitted and you will need to bring your own water. A 1.5 km walking track leads into the gorge.

This campsite is located in N'Dhala Gorge National Park

A cultural treasure-house, N’Dhala Gorge contains nearly 6000 petroglyphs, or Aboriginal rock carvings, some of which could be 10 000 years old. There is a 1.5 km walk into the gorge with interpretive signs. Take the Ross Hwy for about 90 km east of Alice Springs and then the turn-off to the right to Ross River Homestead.
