Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park
Nowhere in Australia signifies the deep spirituality of the land as well as Uluru, the vast red monolith in the heart of the country. The Anangu people ask all visitors to refrain from climbing the rock, and there are plenty of other great walks to do instead, such as the track around Uluru, which has signs to interpret the Aboriginal significance of different areas. The cultural centre is the best place to start a visit to Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park, with an introduction to Anangu culture and displays on the history, art and crafts of the people.
