Great for families, with enough space for up to 200 campers, you need to bring firewood and drinking water to this camping area (or treat or boil the water available before drinking). The gravel road can be steep, narrow and winding at times, but is accessible for caravans, motorhomes and even buses. The camping area is around 13 km south of the D’Aguilar Hwy.

This campsite is located in Benarkin State Forest

Known for its towering hoop pines and eucalypt forests, Benarkin is a stunning subtropical rainforest near the regional town of Blackbutt. The forest is popular with wilderness bushwalkers seeking amazing views on the National Bicentennial Trail. Vehicle access to the forest is from Benarkin Forest Dr (be wary of logging trucks). Advance bookings are required for camping.
