Outdoor movies and friendly tennis competitions might not be typical tourist park activities, but Yallakool offers more bang for your buck. Situated 13 km south-east of Murgon, there are sheltered swimming areas, good fishing at Bjelke-Petersen Dam, kayaks available for hire and wildlife such as koalas, wallabies and kangaroos are often spotted in the grounds. The camp kitchen includes a fridge, hotplates, oven and microwaves. The park is signposted off Barambah Rd, from the Burnett and Bunya hwys.
